Promenade of Dervio

During check-in the newly arrived guests ask me where you can go to Dervio, My first tip is a nice walk on the cycle and pedestrian path that surrounds Dervio.

At all hours you can see fantastic views, and in the warmer months you can sunbathe or swim.

It starts from the reception of the Casa Sul Sasso in via Crocetta n. 2 continue north along the paved road with a blind bottom, then pass under the railway to arrive at the end of the descent to the Foppa beach.

Following the track with the lake on the right you get to Piazza della Chiesa, keeping to the right you get to the Old Port, always straight along the lake you pass the mouth of the River Varrone, then you cross the walkway of the Navazione shipyard, where you we can see the ferries of the lake up close.

Continuing we arrive at the port of Santa Cecilia passing through the bars and restaurants of the Lungolago, where we can stop for an ice cream or an aperitif caressed by the breeze.

To arrive then on the promontory of the entrance of the port of Santa Cecilia, from the south, which marks the end of the outward journey, you can then choose to return along the pedestrian and cycle path, or as you can see on the attached map, go back along the road that runs alongside the mountain via duca d ‘Aosta even if there is no sidewalk and is a two-way street.
